In the beginning Lazuline was a group of three artists:  Lisa Figueroa, Linda Franklin and Tracey Kutschker, they share a passion for painting the naturescapes of British Columbia.  Lazuline has developed a unique way of presenting their vision of the majesty and beauty of the British Columbian landscape; "three - artist - triptychs" each artist produces one third of a single image; each artist’s individual way of seeing is highlighted with the three parts resonating as a cohesive landscape.

Figueroa, Franklin and Kutschker's style and observational points of view differ but their common bond is a joyous visual expression that celebrates their sense of place in the part of Canada they call home, British Columbia.

The name Lazuline is a portmanteau of Lapislazuli (the blue rock that Ultramarine blue paint was originally ground from) representing the atmospheric perspective of living in a mountainous environment and line as a way of identifying their individual mark making.
